The Deku Mask's strengths include the ability to blow bubbles, skip across water, and fly using Deku Flowers. Early on, its spin attack may be helpful for traversal speed. This form also lets you play the Deku Pipes/Pipes of Awakening. However, this transformation makes you quite flammable.

The Butler's son's soul is rumored to reside in this transformation mask that the Skull Kid forced upon you.

The Goron Mask has many excellent defensive and offensive options in combat, ranging from a ground pound to a punch combo. It resists fire and lava, though you can drown easily. This form is usually quite slow, but you can still perform dodges and jumps, and the blisteringly fast, spiky roll pairs perfectly with a bottle of Chateau Romani. This form also allows you to play the Goron Drums/Drums of Sleep.

The soul of Darmani the hero resides in this transformation mask.

The Zora Mask dramatically increases your speed in water, as well as offers speedy combo attacks. You can fire your fins as double boomerangs, breathe underwater, and generate an electric, damage-dealing forcefield. It's my favorite transformation! It does make you more susceptible to both fire and ice attacks, however. This form also allows you to play the Zora Guitar/Guitar of Waves.

The soul of Mikau, the Indigo-Go's guitarist, resides in this mask.

The Postman's Hat allows you to check mailboxes in Clock Town.

After completing a long, arduous quest, this mask may be obtained during the Final Hours rather than a bottle of Chateau Romani.

This mask allows you to stay awake through Anju's grandma's stories.

A torture device that can be found at the Curiosity Shop.

The Blast Mask allows you to detonate a bomb strapped to your face. Oddly, holding up your shield negates the damage you'd take from the explosion.

This mask is obtained by protecting an old woman from a thief named Sakon on the night of the First Day.

Most standard enemies will not notice you while you're wearing the Stone Mask.

An exceptionally inconspicuous guard named Shiro will give you this mask in exchange for a potion. He's just happy to be noticed.

The Great Fairy's Mask sparkles when stray fairies are nearby, and will attract fairies in the room to you if their movement is not restricted.

You receive this mask as a gift after aiding a magical ally near North Clock Town.

NOT Pikachu. Allows you to summon the quiz-loving Keaton by destroying a circle of scattering bushes.

The Curiosity Shop owner will give you this mask on your quest to reunite Anju with her missing fiance, who is usually seen wearing the same mask.

The Bremen Mask allows you to lead small animals in a march which drastically accelerates their maturity.

This mask once belonged to the canine leader of a troupe of performing animals, but was stolen by Guru-Guru. He can often be found playing the Song of Storms in the Laundry Pool.

The Bunny Hood, often considered the most useful non-transformation mask in the game, nearly doubles your run speed and greatly increases your jump distance. It also keeps the ten second timer displayed on-screen during the Postman's minigame.

This mask is obtained by helping Grog raise his cucco chicks to adulthood.

You can assemble the members of the frog choir in Mountain Village by speaking to them while wearing Don Gero's Mask, provided Snowhead is back to normal.

This mask is given to you by the hungry Goron in Mountain Village once you feed him a Rock Sirloin.

Magic Mushrooms are very stonky, and the Mask of Scents is perfect for hunting them down.

Defeat the Butler in a race to earn this porcine mask.

Romani's Mask grants you access to the Milk Bar, where you can purchase Chateau Romani. This milk grants you unlimited magic for the rest of the cycle.

Successfully defend against an alien invasion to earn this mask. It's easier with the Inverted Song of Time in effect, but still one of the more significant challenges in the game.

The Circus Leader's Mask was virtually useless until they allowed you to get a Bottle with it in the 3DS remake. It makes the quest for the mask that gets you into the Milk Bar easier, but you can't get this mask without having access to the Milk Bar already.

Play an old, familiar tune in the Milk Bar every way you know how to get this forlorn-looking mask.

Kafei's Mask is critical in the most extensive sidequest in the game, in which you reunite Anju with her missing fiance.

Get this mask from the mother of Anju's missing fiance to join in the search.

While the Couple's Mask can be used to get a Piece of Heart from the Mayor, Kafei's father, the true reward is being able to witness Anju and Kafei's bittersweet reunion only moments before the moon's impact. They exchange their vows at last, but they don't get to play the Song of Time. You either beat the game, or leave them behind to meet the end together. This one always gets me. ;w;

This mask, the fusion of two wedding masks, is the reward for finishing the most extensive sidequest in the game. Proof of an oath between two lovers in their final moments.

Among other things, the Mask of Truth lets you cheat super hard at dog racing.

Least changed mask award. Obtained by completing the Swamp Spider House.

With Kamaro's Mask, you can impress a couple girls in West Clock Town with your new skills.

This mask is obtained in snowy northern Termina Field at night. A ghostly dancer there will turn you into a faceless monstrosity, but that's the price of learning his dance moves.

The Gibdo Mask is very helpful in Ikana, particularly the Well. Redeads and Gibdos will see you as one of their own.

Heal Pamela's father in Ikana Canyon to get this mask.

The Garo's Mask allows you to enter Ikana Canyon. The design was updated in MM3D to match the Garo Master's appearance, which makes more sense given the mask's utility. I do miss the original, though.

Most changed mask award. Obtained via Gorman horse race. "To die without leaving a corpse... that is the way of us _______."

The Captain's Hat allows you to give orders to Stalchildren. It, along with the Garo and Gibdo Masks, is one of only three non-transformation masks required to beat the game.

Win a race against Skull Keeta to earn this mask.

In Majora's Mask 3D, this mask was moved from its original location. It now drops halfway through the (much less fun) boss fight.

This mask can only be used in the boss room of Stone Tower Temple.

The Fierce Deity's Mask trivializes the final battle against Majora, but the journey to be able to obtain it is worth the ride. The helix sword can use magic to fire beams that deal quadruple the damage of the Kokiri Sword, comparable to the Great Fairy's Sword, and a hit by the blade does the same damage. These attacks can be combined to stack the damage.

You will only be given this mask once you have obtained and sacrificed all other non-transformation masks. It is the most powerful mask in the game, but only usable in boss rooms.

Kafei crafted this mask for his and Anju's wedding ceremony, but Skull Kid reverted him to his child body, and Sakon burgled this mask from him while he was seeking help from the Great Fairy. If you help him get the Sun's Mask back, he will wait for Anju with it until the moon falls, whether she has already evacuated or not.

[BONUS] You cannot obtain and wear this mask yourself, but you do go through quite a lot in an effort to return it to its rightful owner.

Anju crafted this mask for her and Kafei's wedding ceremony, but Kafei mysteriously went missing, and rumors circulated about him running off with Cremia. Upon learning Kafei is safe, Anju agrees to wait in Clock Town for him to arrive rather than evacuate. She will wait for Kafei with the Moon's Mask until the moon falls, whether he returns in time or not.

[BONUS] You cannot obtain and wear this mask yourself, but it is part of a long, involved sidequest.
